Dimitri Allaert Experience
Dimitri has a strong academic background in medical engineering and extensive professional experience in the pharmaceutical industry. In 2018, he decided to pursue his entrepreneurial dream and founded BUFFL, a two-sided market research platform that allows companies to gather data within minutes.
Under Dimitri's leadership as Founder, BUFFL grew from its initial concept to a successful company with a team of 20 full-time employees. The platform has become a trusted solution for many innovative organizations seeking to test their assumptions with their target audience in a data-driven way.
Dimitri's passion for building purpose-driven startups was sparked during his 2021 sabbatical after leaving BUFFL, when he had the opportunity to travel, mentor several startups, and engage with entrepreneurs, ultimately co-creating Leap Factory.
His core strengths include:

- Strategic and Tactical: As a former Junior Belgian Chess Champion and Coach, he's adept at defining short-term tactics to achieve long-term objectives in both chess and business.

This is why I always remind myself and my team to "love the problem, not the solution," as it ensures that we stay grounded in the customer's needs and work tirelessly to create solutions that meet them.
Another crucial aspect of my vision is the willingness to fail fast. In my experience, not every solution works the first time around, and this is why I encourage a culture of quick experimentation, testing, and iteration. By doing so, we can learn from our failures, adapt our approach, and ultimately achieve more successful outcomes.
